WebThis trail is a portion of the Eastern Pines Backpacking Trail that makes for a nice day hike or two-day expedition. There is a campsite shortly before arriving at High Falls if looking to spend the night. The trail starts at Achray Campground on the lesser-used Barron Canyon area of the park and makes its way past Johnston Lake with not too many ups and downs. WebThe best view of High Falls can be found here on the Pont de Rennes bridge. This pedestrian bridge and park is a modern landmark recreated in 1982 from the former Platt Street Bridge (1891). It is an 858-foot long truss bridge. Parking is available at the High Falls Parking Garage. On-street parking is also available in the area. Trails.
